Infectious disease immunology

The DFG-funded Research Training Group RTG 2504 “Novel antiviral approaches” studies small molecules and strategies of immune intervention for the treatment of viral infections.

The DFG-funded Research Training Group RTG 2740 “ImmunoMicroTope” aims to unravel the microenvironmental, metabolic and microbial signals regulating interactions between immune cells and pathogens (bacteria, protozoa, helminths and fungi).

Researchers of FAU also participate in the DFG-funded priority program SPP2225 “Exit strategies of intracellular pathogens”.
