FAU I-MED issues two newsletters per year, in which important scientific achievements, appointments or awards of FAU immunologists and infectious disease researchers or the recruitment of new researchers to Erlangen are highlighted.

- Members of the CRC1181 (“Resolution of inflammation”) have developed the game “Inflammania”
- Members of FAU I-MED maintain numerous national and international scientific collaborations and actively participate in the work of research funding organizations (e.g., elected members in review boards of the DFG, membership in the Senate Committee of the Leibniz Society) and serve in the boards or advisory councils of various scientific societies, scientific journals and national committees.
